I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1978. In the same year I was hired by Liberty Mutual as a claims adjuster and was promoted to property claims specialist in 1980. I became a sales representative in the Personal Sales Department in 1984, a senior sales representative in 1994 and an executive sales representative in 1995. In May, 2005, I was elected as a lifetime member in the Liberty Mutual Hall of Fame.

In my spare time I enjoy surfing, diving, and training in martial arts with my daughter and son. I also enjoy singing, listening to and playing music, and appreciate art. I work voluntarily with the homeless and drug addicted, and also spend time with the elderly at the Convalescent Center of Honolulu.
