I recently had a phone call with Suzanne in the Rutland Liberty Mutual office about insurance policy options.  I don't often do reviews but I felt compelled to do this because I was blown away by Suzanne's customer service!  I get tired of firms who treat you as if you're an expert with their services but not Suzanne - she explained all of the options for my insurance in simple terms and in such a pleasant manner.  She didn't just talk to me she listened and clearly answered all of my questions.  It's very obvious she has been in the insurance business for a long time as she was very confident and knowledgeable with the various products that Liberty Mutual offers and the very complicated aspects of insurance.  While at this time it didn't make sense for me to switch companies I can only hope should I reconsider I get to speak to Suzanne again. 13 years with Liberty Mutual and I am extremely thankful to cross paths with Taylor Goeke in 2023. I have never met anybody as thorough, kind and patient with my insurance needs as she has been. We had a house fire. It was a terrifying experience, as you can imagine. You pay your insurance on time, hoping never to have to use it, especially when it comes to your home. The fire reinforced why it's necessary to have insurance. We had the fear that most people have when it comes to insurance. Why if things get complicated with the insurance company. Liberty Mutual was different. The first person I spoke to was this guy, Chris Hemmerle. He was great. He walked me through what will happen and offered to put us in a hotel if necessary. I think we got a call from Bonnie Mercurio afterward. She was a God-spent! Bonnie could easily be a psychologist. She showed empathy and always asked how we were doing when she called. Bonnie handled our contents. Chris also introduce us to Jared Libby, who was the field adjuster. Jared is a true professional, very patient!  They also worked with a company based in Nashua called CRDN to clean our stuff, ALE Solutions to find a hotel that can accommodate our needs, GW Savage (this lady Tonya was awesome), Disaster Recovery, and All Point Constructions. All of this during a pandemic. It was overwhelming. I took lots of notes! What we saw was a team of professionals with an ability to empathize. They worked well with us every step of the way and made a stressful situation less painful. Our house is back to its original state. Usually, when I do a review, I try to rate the pluses and minuses, but nothing negative so far. I offer you this, I pray it never happens to your family, but Liberty Mutual was very reliable, and I'm now one in their fan club (hope it stays that way).  If you find yourself in this position, get a book or binder (they'll give you one anyway), take notes of everyone you speak to (with phone numbers, dates, and time of the conversation), write down what they do, write down your policy and claim numbers, so you can access them easily, and don't delay calls or follow-up. Working with your mortgage bank might slow things down, so be proactive. That's probably where I was most frustrated. It can get overwhelming quickly. We survived, but knock on wood. I'm hoping it's not one of those "too good to be true" scenarios.

Is the most dishonest and crooked insurance company in the world,
Tons of law suits as they REFUSE to pay their claims.
I have USED THEM FOR 30 PLUS YEARS, the two claims i had one on a new 60,000 fifth wheel they paid 20,000 on it as it was totaled., so I was left with 40,000. bill, a year of fighting they paid 43,000., still did not pay it off. so the screw you over big time.
Now i'm disabled have Total replacement cost insurance. on every thing, water heater went, called them and said to handle as I can not hardly even move, the sent rainbow international in , they put in fans and left , 5 days latter put dryers in and left 3 days were gone , never dried out any thing, whole house molded and LM has refused to pay the claim, and repair damages, so now im suing Liberty mutual . They are the most horrible company in the world , just start searching, any on that gives then a 5 star rating is a fraud or BOT.  Just start searching on lines for horror stories of the FRAUD.

Sadly no more personal service.  Local office is purely for sales.

After being in one literal accident when a deer ran across the road, an entire year later, Liberty Mutual is deciding to drop my coverage even though I have a good driving record and this was my only accident in years. I am disappointed by their cowardly behavior. It may be their right, but it is your right to to pick another insurance company. When it counts, they apparently will just drop you. I would give you less than one star if I could. Also know I will be telling everyone I know in the Killington/ Rutland area of what happened and why to avoid business with a bogus company like you.

Very disappointed.  After paying premiums for cars and home for many years, I had a minor claim in my home denied.  The field adjuster was a crock.  I had two independent contractors who showed me the real problems, which was waaaaay off from what the adjuster said.  The company would not consider it, said their adjusters are credible.  That guy did not know anything and did not listen at all.  I wonder if they would help me with a major problem?
