Kirt was friendly, organized, and professional in helping me transition multiple insurances including homeowners, auto, and term life from old, longstanding policies that had continued to increase their premiums while decreasing coverages. Kirt was a rockstar in finding me better coverages, also at decent rates, saving me 20% on car insurance, and providing substantially better coverage for slightly less premium cost on my homeowners. Kirt was very quick to respond and personally helped handle any issues that arose, even those that originated from the insurance carrier's website and had nothing to do with him! I called Kirt for new homeowner’s insurance based on all of the great reviews. I needed insurance that covered me both as the homeowner when I live at the property, and for when I rent it as a vacation property. Kirt found me a policy, I paid for it, and then looked at the paperwork from the insurance company and realized it did not have any coverage as a vacation rental. Called Kirt immediately. His reply was that he had “forgotten about that.” I had already paid for the policy, (close to 2k), and the only way to get a refund was to have the company send a check. To my home. 2.5 hours away. Where I was not living. No apology from Kirt, rather, “well now you have an excuse to go to your house.” Really? Is it so difficult to admit to making a mistake and apologizing for it? That I would have respected. Until that check was issued and delivered, (it took several weeks), and until I had time to drive two and a half hours to get it, I was carrying the cost of two full yearly insurance policy premiums (several thousand dollars), on my credit card. Kirt then picked out a new policy that he said covered everything I needed for my vacation rentals. Just called them, and the policy he chose only covers stays for 7 days or longer. I have a weekend stay coming in in four days! I’ve called Kirt several times to cancel that policy and find one that covers both short and longer vacation stays. He has not responded to me. At all. Won’t return the call. Totally ignoring me. Now it’s up to me to cancel my current policy, (the insurance company says that my agent needs to do this), find a new policy asap, and wait for the refund check for this one. I also had a credit reversed because I didn’t provide proof of my security system. I had no idea I needed to do this, as Kirt never told me. Sadly, my experience with Kirt is one of incompetence and a lack of professionalism. His mistakes have caused me a great deal of stress, money, and, most importantly, could have left my house completely uninsured if anything had happened with my shorter term renters, which could have been disastrous.
