Won't my school provide a refund if a student withdraws?
Not necessarily. Schools typically offer limited refunds after classes begin, and will provide no refunds after a certain date (varies by school). Given the high cost of tuition, Liberty Mutual Tuition Insurance guarantees comprehensive coverage throughout your policy term. You should familiarize yourself with your school's refund policy, and the benefits of obtaining a policy such as the one offered here.
Will Liberty Mutual's Tuition Insurance reimburse student loans and scholarships?
Yes, this plan will refund tuition, mandatory fees, and room and board paid to the school regardless of source. This includes federally subsidized and unsubsidized loans, outside non-extendable scholarships, 529 plans, and family savings.

Yes, all students attending schools listed on this site are eligible for coverage regardless of home state or country.
Does coverage apply to students studying abroad?

How much time do I have to submit a claim after withdrawal from school?
Documents can be submitted via email at TuitionInsuranceClaims@LibertyMutual.com and should be submitted as soon as possible after a withdrawal to ensure timely payment of your claim. When timely submission is not possible, you will generally have 90 days from the date of loss to submit your documents.
How much does it cost the institution to offer the Liberty Mutual Comprehensive Tuition and Fees Insurance plan?
There is no cost to the school to partner with Liberty Mutual. There are no commissions, set-up fees, or recurring costs, and we work to provide your school everything needed to begin offering coverage.
What are the benefits to partnering with Liberty Mutual?
Students who withdraw mid-term, often do so during a time of crisis or emergency. Participation in the plan ensures that your staff can focus on helping students in need, rather than on financial administration. We partner with schools to ensure a seamless claims process with the student's needs always in mind. Additionally, many administrators agree that students who withdraw and have purchased coverage are more likely to return to school in subsequent semesters.
